Directions for installing Adobe Acrobat Reader on an IBM PC compatible computer:

***Please note that you will need to make sure you have jotted down the name of the file you downloaded from Adobe and made note of where you downloaded it on your computer.

Once the download is complete, click the Start button in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

Go to Run - located third from the bottom of options

Press the Browse button and browse to the file where you downloaded it - located on the right hand side of the Run screen

Click on the file once

You will notice that the name jumps into the File Name bar

Click on Open - located on the right hand side of the screen

This screen will close and the Run screen will stay open with the file in the Open box on the Run screen

Click on Okay - located on the bottom left side of the Run screen

Adobe Acrobat Reader will start the install process

Work your way through the various install windows to the end of the install, read each screen as it comes up. (Unless you are comfortable with custom paths for installation choose the installation paths the computer defaults to at each screen.)

When Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed please restart your computer.

You should be all set.

When you try to download an Adobe .pdf file from a web page Adobe Acrobat Reader should automatically start.

Use your browser's Back button, located in the upper left hand side of your screen, to return to the page you were previously viewing.
