This course will review the current understanding of the pathophysiology of asthma and will discuss the rationale for the use of therapeutic agents with different mechanisms of action. Topics will cover drug information, both conventional and complementary, and a comparison of medications used for the treatment of asthma. In addition, participants will learn about the importance of patient education for providing optimal care to patients with asthma.
