Health Insurance Policies

NHTI offers several health insurance plans. These plans include insurance coverage for full and part time students. There is also major medical insurance for students and NHTI alumni with temporary needs. These policies are available as a single plan or family plan for a twelve month period, August to August. These plans do not include major medical coverage for intercollegiate athletics.

School health insurance applications for temporary insurance coverage may be obtained from the Health Services office. Insurance plan information, applications and claim forms that cover full time, and part-time, students can be obtained from the Health Services Office. Written claim forms must be filed with the insurance company within 30 days of an accident or illness. All students enrolled in health related programs such as Dental, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Paramedic Emergency Medicine, Nursing, Orthopaedic Technology, Radiation Therapy and Radiologic Technology are required to have health insurance. Accident only is the minimum coverage required for all athletes participating in intercollegiate sports. Health insurance is highly recommended for all other students.
