Deb Smith, Head Coach Women's SoftballDeb Smith, Head Coach

Deb Smith graduated from Ithaca College (1990/BS Television/radio production). Coach Smith was inducted into the Ithaca Hall of Fame in 2006 for her performance in field hockey and softball. She was a two-time All-American field hockey sweeper while at Ithaca College and also a key member of the softball team. Deb is also a graduate of Pembroke Academy, where she lettered for four years in field hockey, basketball and softball. Deb served as a very successful head coach of the NHTI softball team from 1998-03 leading the team to four league championships. She also served as the head softball coach for Pembroke Academy from 2003-05. Upon her return to NHTI with full-time employment in 2006, Coach Smith has served as an assistant for the Lynx. She is presently employed at NHTI after being named the Director of Wellness and Recreation since April 2009.

Kristina Rieger, Head Coach Women's SoftballKristina Rieger, Assistant Coach

Kristina Rieger graduated from Daniel Webster College (2010/BS Sport Management). Coach Rieger was named Daniel Webster's 2009 Female Athlete of the Year and 2010 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year for her performance on the volleyball and softball teams. She earned First Team All Conference selection for volleyball and was captain of the NECC Championship Team that captured the college's first program championship for women's volleyball in 2009. Additionally, she was a tri-captain and Second Team All Conference selection for softball. In March of 2010, Kristina was named the "Hometown Hero" by WMUR - Channel 9. Prior to Daniel Webster College, she attended NHTI - Concord's Community College and was a key member of the volleyball and softball teams where she was named a USCAA Academic All-American for volleyball. Kristina is a graduate of Concord High School where she lettered in volleyball and softball. She served as an assistant softball coach for the U14 NH Lightning ASA softball team in 2008. 2010 will be her first year as an assistant for the Lynx. Welcome Coach Rieger!
