NHTI Head Coach Men's Soccer, Don WelfordDon Welford, Head Coach

Don Welford is a Boston State College graduate (1970 BS/Ed) and a Salem State College graduate (1975 M.Ed). Coach Welford returns to head coaching duties at NHTI after a very successful tenure as head coach from 2002-2006. His prior experience included one year as assistant at NHTI in 2001 and six very successful years as the head coach at Reading High (Ma) where he had previously served as the JV coach for 14 years. Last fall, he coached Interlakes High School in Meredith, NH after a 4 year hiatus from coaching. During his tenure as head coach at NHTI, Welford's teams were very successful capturing YSCC crowns and advancing to the national USCAA tournaments in Texas, West Virginia and Indiana. Coach Welford is the owner/director of RTS Enterprises serving all of New England from his home in Laconia, NH

Sean Fischer is a graduate of Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire (BS/2002). Fischer was a two sport athlete at Manchester Central High School, playing both soccer and basketball. For the past eight years, Fischer has been an assistant coach for the girls' junior varsity basketball team and has assisted with the boys' varsity soccer program at Pembroke Academy. Fischer is currently a physical education teacher at Easter Seals, The Robert B. Jolicoeur School in Manchester NH serving students with special needs.

Semir Mehmedovic is a graduate of Plymouth State University (2010 BS Business) Currently he is pursuing Masters in Athletic Administration at PSU after a stellar four year soccer career that placed him third all-time in PSU men's soccer scoring. Mehmedovic is a native of Bosnia and ended his PSU playing career one of the top offensive players in the country in 2009, appearing in the NCAA national statistics, ranking 5th in the nation in goals per game and 11th in points per game. Mehmedovic was named First Team All-New England by both the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). His extensive soccer knowledge and energy will prove to be useful and exciting addition to the Lynx coaching staff.
