08/28/10 - Lynx Match NCAA Hornets
CONCORD - The NHTI men's soccer team tied with the NCAA division three opponent Lyndon State College tonight by a score of 1-1.

Brad Degaetano (Candia) picked up where he led of last season, and scored the lone Lynx goal of the contest. Assisting the score was freshman Donald Farquharson (Laconia).

Pacing the Hornets in the draw was Teague Cole.

The Lynx (0-0-1) will host a four team tournament this weekend at NHTI.

08/28/10 - Lynx Baseball Swept on Opening Day
CONCORD - The NHTI men's baseball team were swept in both games of a double header today by YSCC foe Vermont Technical College; game one ended in a score of 2-1 and game two finished at 4-3.

Kevin Lee (Center Barnstead) paced the offense as he had four hits, including a homerun, and three RBI's. Colby Couture (Goffstown), making his collegiate debut, pitched well in game one, but took the loss as he allowed only two hits and one unearned run.

The Lynx (0-2) will play again next Friday when they host the UNH (Club) team.

06/11/10 - NHTI Captures Third Place in USCAA Director's Cup
CONCORD - The NHTI's Athletic Program was presented the third place plaque at the annual USCAA Athletic Director's national convention in Williamsburg, Virginia.

NHTI Director of Athletics Paul Hogan was presented the plaque by USCAA Executive Director Bill Casto with the Lynx finishing in third place for the second time in three years. The third place finish demonstrates the strength of the NHTI athletic program scoring points for competing in national competition throughout the 2009-10 college calendar year.

“We are thrilled with the presentation that marks the tremendous competition and overall athletic department achievement from small colleges across the country,” remarked Hogan. “NHTI athletics are highly competitive on the national small college level as evidenced by this great achievement.”

NHTI finished in third place just one-half point ahead of Penn College. The NHTI baseball strong showing in the national tournament in May helped boost the Lynx into third place.

06/01/10 - Rivier College to Join 10th Annual Jacob's Bridge Through Autism Classic at NHTI
CONCORD - NHTI will once again be the host site for the tenth annual Jacob's Bridge Through Autism Classic. This year's event will be played on Monday, November 15th in the Goldie Crocker Wellness Center. For the tenth straight year Keene State College, Plymouth State University, and Colby Sawyer will battle in the games. However, a new addition to the group this year will be Rivier College. The Nashua based member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference replaces New England College, who were involved for the previous nine.

“Rivier College is very proud to be a part of the 10th annual Jacob's Bridge Through Autism Basketball Challenge. We are excited to showcase our basketball program with the best NCAA Division three programs in New Hampshire at a wonderful facility at NHTI. This will be an exciting night for our student-athletes as we help out in a small way to a greater cause” says David Morissette, Rivier College Men's Basketball Coach.

Rivier College will battle Keene State College in the first game, followed by CSC and PSU in game two. Coach Morissette's team is coming off a 9-17 season and features several athletes from New Hampshire. Indeed, Don Poitras Jr and Tom Poitras are both from Bow, NH and will be returning home to the capital area to play in this event.

Jacob's Bridge Through Autism is a charity created by John and Susan Schienman to bring awareness and hope to families with an autistic children.
