Lynx Athletics News12/17/08 - Pennock Named YSCC Player-of-the-week Pennock helped the Lynx to defeat conference foe Hesser College this week. She netted 21 points and pulled in 14 rebounds in the victory. A late addition to this years team Pennock has become on Lynx go-to scorers. Penncok is the first NHTI athlete to be honored so far this winter season as a player-of-the-week. TOP12/14/08 - NHTI Women Fall To MCC Jackie Theroux (Manchester) scored 11 points and added five assists and Leah Shadeed (Manchester) netted 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Lynx. Also Joy Burge (Wilton) contributed five assists. The Lynx enter the winter break with an 8-5 overall record. TOP12/13/08 - Pennock Nets 21 as the Lynx Roll Meagan Pennock (Littleton) scored 21 points and pulled in 14 rebounds to lead Lynx. Moriah Mahala (Epping) added 14 points and Leah Shadeed (Manchester) netted 13 points. The Lynx advance to 8-4 and will next play on Sunday when they host Manchester (CT) Community College. The NHTI men's basketball team dropped a contest to rival Hesser College 84-67. Stephan Roberts (Orlando, FL) had 26 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Lynx offensively. Also playing well was Jacob Lewis-Hamel (Concord) 13 points with eight assists and Reno Gilbert (Colebrook) played a very strong game off the bench. The Lynx enter winter break with an 8-5 record. TOP12/11/08 - Burge Adds 15 in Lynx Win Joy Burge (Wilton) led the attack with 15 points; Moriah Mahala (Epping) had an all-around solid performance. The Lynx (7-4) will travel to rival Hesser College on Friday night. The NHTI men's basketball team was outlasted by Vermont Technical College 62-58. Charlie Hepburn (Littleton) paced the Lynx with 17 points and nine rebounds. In addition Peter Dargy (Laconia) added 15 points, and Martin Olivier (Manchester) came up with 10 rebounds and five blocks along with playing stellar defense. The Lynx fall to 8-4 and will also travel to Hesser College on Friday. TOP12/11/08 - Pro Basketball at NHTI in Concord On Tuesday Night The Rats bring an impressive array of former big time college players and a few guys who've had a cup of NBA coffee into it's only playing date in the capital city in 2008-2009. Among those on those roster are 6'10' John Oates who was a starter for Boston College a year ago. Speedy Point guard Al Stewart has been called the fastest guard to come out of the Drake University program where he holds the single season record for assists. Desmond Ferguson the team's shooting guard is a University of Detroit product who has suited up NBA squads in Portland, Charlotte and most recently with the New York Knicks. The Manchester Millrats are in their second year of operation and led by new Head Coach Ron Spon who was 18-4 with the Gary (IN) Steelheads of the IBL a year ago. Prior to that he was an assistant coach in the CBA with the Dakota Wizards, Indiana Alleycats, and Pittsburgh Xplosion and also serves on the scouting staff of the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are based in Manchester, play home games at Southern New Hampshire University and members of the Premier League - which has teams throughout the country.

Also Ryan Call (Colebrook) added 11 points, Jacob Lewis-Hamel (Concord) netted 13 points and Martin Olivier (Manchester) grabbed 10 rebounds. Eastern Maine was paced by Derek Helms with 15 points, Adam Knowles with 13 points and five rebounds, and Rogan Rowe nine points with six boards. Day two of the NHTI Holiday Festival also featured Hesser College defeating the Word of Life Bible Institute 91-60. The Blue Devils of Hesser College were lead by Kendall Walker with 20 points and six rebounds. In addition Kevin Mulready added 30 points with 11 rebounds, Chris Murrell added 10 points with 12 rebounds and Mercury Fiske added six assists. David Arthor scored 20 points to lead WOLBI. Also playing well was Bret Ryan 13 points and David Haas 11 points with eight rebounds and four assists. Being named to the all festival team were Dargy, Lewis-Hamel, Knowles, Helms, Malik Hale (Hesser), Mulready, Haas and Jeffery Joseph (WOLBI). In other action the NHTI women's basketball team pulled out two wins in the Holiday Festival at Hesser College. The Lynx downed Eastern Maine Community College 82-45 and Word of Life Bible Institute 62-32. In the game versus EMCC Ashley Harris (Sandown) paced the Lynx with 14 points. Lysha Smith (Thomaston, ME) eight points with nine assists, Jon Lafitte (Littleton) 15 points and Jared Green (Danbury, CT) 12 points all played great games. The Huskies of WOLBI were paced by David Haas 13 points and David Arthor with 10 points. Also in day one action of the NHTI Holiday Festival Hesser College downed Eastern Maine Community College 98-67. TOP12/02/08 - Colby-Sawyer Upsets PSU Pacing the Chargers was Will Bardaglio with 19 points and four rebounds, David Rosso with 21 points; Duncan Szeliga added 16 points and seven boards and Matt Lemieux netted 13 points with seven assists. Ben Huntington was the leader for the Panthers adding 17 points six rebounds and four assists. Also playing well was Tom Dowd with 14 points and former NHTI standout Ryan Lambert contributed 12 points and six rebounds. CSC picks up there second win in nine tries in classic while PSU drops only there second game in the history of the event. Owls Down Pilgrims Leading the Owls was Bryan O'Leary with 19 points. Also contributing was Tyler Kathan with eight points and nine rebounds, Ryan Bourgeois nine points with eight assists and Tyler Patch 12 points. TOP11/23/08 - Roberts Lights it Up Stephan Roberts (Orlando, FL) had a huge game adding 27 points with six rebounds and three assists. Jonara Woodbury (Belmont) lead the NHTI women's basketball team to a 56-39 win over U-Maine Augusta. Woodbury contributed 14 points and nine rebounds. Also playing strong was Ashley Harris (Sandown) eight points with eight rebounds and Leah Shadeed (Candia) 14 points with nine boards. TOP11/16/08 - Brewster Academy Wins NHTI Prep Showcase Brewster was led by tournament MVP Andrew Fitzgerald with 26 points and eight boards. In addition Derrerk Tartt netted 12 points, Melvin Ejim added 10 points with six boards and Thomas Robinson contributed 17 points and 19 boards. Pacing Notre Dame was Johnnie Lacy with 13 points and four steals, James Southerland 12 points and Sean Kilpatrick 26 points with seven rebounds. In earlier action today New Hampton School defeated the Rise School 103-80 in route to winning the consolation match. New Hampton was led by Mark McLaughlin with 25 points. TOP11/10/08 - NHTI to Host Prep Showcase Tournament Saturday's action will start at 6:30 PM with The Rise School taking on Brewster Academy followed by Notre Dame Prep and New Hampton School at 8:15. Sunday will feature a consolation match at 4:00 PM and the championship at 5:45 PM. Three NH born and bred coaches will showcase their teams with Brewster Coach Jason Smith (Boscawen), Ryan Hurd (Concord) and Peter Hutchins (New London). All three coaches have been very successful with Smith now entering his ninth season as the head coach for one of the country's real prep powerhouses. Brewster Academy's team features the 6'8 Thomas Robinson who has already committed to Kansas for college ball, Givon Crump who will be playing at Baylor next season, the big 6'8 Andrew Fitzgerald who has committed to Oklahoma, and Wolfeboro, NH's own Luke Apfeld who will be joining Vermont along with Simeon Marsalis. The Rise School in anchored in the middle by 6'10 center Brandon West. Other senior standouts include Lance Bulter of Chicago, Mike Rhoads on Huntington Valley PA, Carlton Castillo of Middletown DE, and Raheem Bowman of Chester PA. Notre Dame Prep has several star players including Johnnie Lacy an extremely talented point guard who has received plenty of interest from Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Providence. James Sutherland is a very athletic and talented shooter who has committed to Syracuse and Antoine Allen is an explosive guard who will be attending Providence College. Sean Kilpatrick who can score in bunches has already committed to Cincinnati. Last season NDP finished at 28-6, in addition they were national champions in 05-06 and 06-07. New Hampton School is powered by Chris Gason who will be attending Fordham, Mark McGlaughlin attending Nevada, Jordan Callahan who has committed to Tulane, Mike Topercer playing at Bentley next season, and Damen Bell-Holter who will be attending Oral Roberts. There are also many others on the team still be recruited or who have yet to make a final decision. Several current NBA players are alumni from these schools including: Rashad McCants, Darius Songaila, Awvee Storey, Ryan Gomes, Michael Beasley, and Marcus Douthit. The Golden Eagles of EMCC were paced by Nicole Kaulbeck with 32 points, Teresa Speildenner added 13 points with 10 rebounds and Brit Pinkham contributed eight points, nine rebounds, and four steals. Sam Marlow was the standout for Hampshire College scoring 10 points and eating up 14 rebounds. Norma Cruz also played well picking up seven rebounds. NECC was paced by Ismael Rios 20 points with four assists and five steals. Also playing strong was Carlos Guillermo 12 points with 10 rebounds, Javier Fanauzzi 10 points with eight boards, and Anthony Siri 19 points with seven rebounds. Ben Maloney's eight points and 14 rebounds lead the Golden Eagles of EMCC. Adam Knowles added 10 points and James Doe contributed six rebounds. NHTI (2-1) dropped to Mass Bay Community College in the men's championship 58-54. Stephan Roberts (Orlando, FL) played another stellar game for the Lynx while leading them with 15 points four rebounds and four assists. Marcus Ferenc (Keene) also played strong contributing 15 points, in addition Houston Greene (Londonderry) grabbed seven rebounds. Pacing MBCC was Jamal Swanson 18 points with five rebounds, Deshawn Giddons 12 points with three assists and Brendan Morais 12 points. NHTI's Roberts and Martin Olivier (Manchester) were named tournament MVP's. As far as the women Quinsigamond Community College rolled over Eastern Maine Community College 68-46 in first round tournament action. Leading the way for QCC was Lyndsee Rizkalla with 14 points and six assists. Also playing well was Shaleebra Crooper with 11 points and three steals and Sujeiry Diaz with 13 points and five rebounds. Nikki Kaulbeck was the leader for EMCC scoring 27 points and grabbing five rebounds. Sarah Greene 12 points also played well. In other first round tournament action NHTI stomped Hampshire College 57-14. Every member of the NHTI team scored but a few standouts were Katie Faucher (Manchester) seven steals, Jess Hardiman (Loudon) eight points with five rebounds and three steals, Jonara Woodbury (Belmont) eight points and four boards and Ashley Harris (Sandown) seven points with seven rebounds. TOP11/01/08 - Lynx Grab Season Opener Freshman Jacob Lewis-Hamel (Concord) scored 22 points and grabbed four steals in his collegiate debut. Also playing strong was Stephan Roberts (Orlando, FL) 11 points and seven steals, Marcus Ferenc (Keene) 13 points, Martin Olivier (Manchester) 11 rebounds with four assists, Brian Lawrence (Exeter) 10 rebounds, and Charlie Hepburn (Littleton) 16 points with six rebounds. TOP11/01/08 - NHTI's Searles Captures National X-C Title; Men's Soccer Team Finishes as Runner-Up With only minutes to go in the USCAA Cross Country National Championship race at Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista , Virginia , Searles was trailing but looking strong. As the end of the race neared she turned on the jets and was able to pass the previously undefeated Samantha Snead (Penn State-WS) for the win. “It was an emotional event seeing Heather cross the finish line just ahead of all of the competition especially since she was not the favorite to win”, said NHTI assistant Cross County coach Perry Seagroves. After placing second a year ago in the event the win was even sweeter for the emotional Searles. Heather has led the NHTI team all year long, including helping the Lynx to capture the YSCC (Yankee Small Conference) title. Searles is a dental hygiene major at NHTI and a graduate of Hillsboro-Deering High School. For her efforts in the national championship event she was honored by the USCAA as an All American for the second time in two years. “NHTI would like to send congratulations out to Heather, Coach Walton, Coach Seagroves, and the whole NHTI cross country team for there success this season. Heather's individual title is the first in school history and we could not be prouder”, said NHTI Athletic Director Paul Hogan. As for NHTI as a team the women placed sixth out of seven and the men placed seven out of nine. Also scoring for the women were Sarah McDonald (Barnstead) 16th, Fatmata Bath ( Manchester ) 34th, Christina Gleason (Hopkinton) 46th, and Tiffany Carrier (Weare) 50th. Finishing for the men were Zach Stewart (Bow) 32nd, Andrew Domin (Goffstown) 34th, Trevor Bouchard (Derry) 51st, Justin Traniello (New Ipswich) 59th, and Evan Ringo ( Concord ) 65th. Coach Derek Johnson's NHTI men's soccer team dropped the USCAA championship game to Briarcliffe College 2-1. The game was tied 1-1 with 25 minutes to go, however a controversial penalty call lead to Briarcliffe scoring the eventual game winner on a penalty kick. “Oh well, what can you do, things happen”, said the disappointed Johnson. The Lynx lone goal was netted by Antonia Bifsha ( Milford ). With the loss the Lynx finish up as USCAA national tournament runner up's, YSCC champions and an overall record of 14-4. Bifsha, Josh Smith (Boscawen), and Justin Dawalga (Tilton) were all named to the all tournament team for there outstanding play and sportsmanship throughout the whole USCAA national tournament. “On behalf of NHTI we would like to commend our men's soccer team on capturing the YSCC title this year along with finishing as runner up in the national tournament”, said Hogan. This successful season was just another chapter in the rich NHTI men's soccer tradition. The Lynx have finished up runner up in 1986, 1988, 1990, 1997 and now again in 2008. With the season now over the Lynx have a lot to look forward to next season as a good core of players are planning on returning. Coach Steve Ambra's NHTI women's soccer team has clinched a fifth place finish in the USCAA national tournament being held in Burlington , Vermont . In order to pick up the fifth place finish NHTI rolled over U-Maine Augusta 3-0 after falling to Andrews College 1-0 yesterday in the first round of the national championship tournament. “Today's win was a great, great team effort and an outstanding finish to our season,” said NHTI head coach Ambra. Katie Granquist (Goffstown), Danielle Ferland ( Charlestown ) and Joy Burge ( Wilton ) all added goals in today's win. In addition Alex Merwin (Meredith) connected on two assists. Bonnie Smith (Pembroke) named to the all tournament team made 16 saves in the win. “Coach Ambra has done an outstanding job with this years women's soccer team and the success of this year's team has proven how valuable Ambra is to our staff. We would like to congratulate him and his team on such great accomplishments this fall,” said Hogan. In other women's soccer news Kat Rodriquez ( Merrimack ) has been named an Honorable Mention All American by the USCAA. She was the lone post season award winner for the Lynx women's soccer team. This was NHTI's fifth appearance in the USCAA national tournament, but there first in two years. The Lynx also finish up with an overall record of 7-9-1 and as YSCC champions. TOP10/30/08 - Men's Soccer Team Advances to National Championship Entering the game the Wildcats of Penn College had been undefeated. Leading the Lynx has been Nicholas Papamichael (Raymond), Antonia Bifsha (Milford), and Josh Smith (Boscawen). The number five seeded Lynx will be playing in the championship game against #3 Briarcliffe College on Friday at 3:00 PM. Coach Steve Ambra's women's soccer team fell in the first round of the USCAA national tournament 1-0 to Andrews College. The Lynx kept the game close but just were not able to squeeze a goal into the net. The number five seeded Lynx now fall into the loser's bracket and will play Friday at 11 AM. TOP10/30/08 - Local's Help Get Lynx to National Title Game After a 5-2 win over defending champions and host school Rochester College in the semi-finals the Lynx will be battling Briarcliffe College of New York for the national title. The title game will be held Friday October 31 at 3 PM. This years USCAA championship tournament is being held at the Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, Michigan. The Lynx have already seen much success this season including winning the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) title and having several players honored by the YSCC and USCAA. In order to win the YSCC title NHTI downed Northern Maine Community College 4-0 in front of the largest home crowd of the season. YSCC coach of the year Derek Johnson has led his team to a 14-3 record so far this season. Josh Smith (Boscawen), Nicholas Papamichael (Raymond), Dan Worcester (Raymond), and Antonio “Tony” Bifsha (Milford) were all named YSCC All Conference players. In addition the USCAA has honored Papamichael and Bifsha as All Americans and Smith as an honorable mention All American. This years NHTI team certainly is New Hampshire's team as only one active player is not from the Granite State. In addition several players are from the capital region including: Evan Ortega (Penacook), Amsal Alic (Concord), Smith (Boscawen), and John Hanna (Concord). “NHTI is so proud of this years men's soccer team. TOP10/18/08 - NHTI Captures Three More Titles Women's volleyball: (H) NHTI 3 - Hesser College 0 CONCORD, NH - The NHTI women's volleyball team fell in the YSCC tournament championship game 3-0 to Unity College after downing Hesser College 3-0 in a semifinal match. Tracey Steinhilber (Hillsboro) had 10 blocks with 14 aces, Crystal Wynott (Hillsboro) contributed 24 kills and 10 aces and Captain Megan Dickie (Farmington) added 10 kills and 30 assists. The NHTI women's cross country also captured there second straight YSCC title. The Lynx placed first overall in the YSCC Cross Country Invitational at NHTI. Heather Searles (Henniker) won the meet with a time of 19:29. TOP10/16/08 - NHTI Playoff Information The NHTI men's soccer team (number one seed) will be hosting the YSCC tournament championship game versus number three seeded Northern Maine Community College at 1:30 PM on Saturday October 18. The Lynx advanced to the championship game with a deciding 10-0 win over Central Maine Community College in the semifinals. The third seeded NHTI women's soccer team will be traveling up to Randolph, Vermont to face Vermont Technical College in the YSCC tournament championship. The game will be played on Saturday October 18 and will start at 2 PM. NHTI stunned Unity College 2-0 in the semifinals to advance. Both the NHTI men's and women's cross country teams will be trying to capture YSCC titles on Saturday October 18 when they host the YSCC Invitational tournament. The women are slated to start at 10:45 AM and the men will follow at roughly 11 AM. Both teams look to capture a title like they did in 2007. For the second straight season the Goldie Crocker Wellness Center on the NHTI campus will host the YSCC final four volleyball tournament championship. The Lynx enter as the number two seed and will be matched up against the number three seeded Hesser College. Both semifinal games will be played at noon on Saturday October 18 with the championship game and award ceremony to follow at 1:30 PM. NHTI will be trying to defend there 2007 title. Steve Shorey (Franklin) and Luke Merill (Pittsburg) led the Lynx pitching staff in the two games. Curtis Brown (Florida) batted .800 for the classic and was awarded with the "Best Offensive Player" award. Also picking up multiple hits was Shorey and Kevin Lee (Center Barnstead). NHTI finishes up the season with a 12-5 record and with 14 freshmen on the team the Lynx look to be the team to beat next season. The Lynx also fell to CCRI 2-0, Holyoke Community College 2-0 and defeated Central Maine Community College 3-0. Ashley Steinhilber (Hillsboro) had an all-around solid performance in the tournament. Megan Dickie (Farmington) had a strong service day including 13 aces against Central Maine. The 6-12 Lynx will next see action on Wednesday October 15th at Lyndon State College. The men's and women's cross teams both traveled down to Gordon College to compete in a huge 30 team meet. Heather Searles (Henniker) finished second overall with a time of 18:32 for the women. The men's team finished 24th out of 30. They were led by Zach Stewart (Bow) 30:42, Dan Walsh (Hillsboro) 30:50, and Andrew Domin (Gofftstown) 31:27. Also placing for the Lynx were Justin Traniello (New Ipswich) and Evan Ringo. Both teams will compete again on the 18th when they host the YSCC invitational. Coach Kathy O'Connor's women's softball team finished up the season in heartbreaker fashion falling 4-3 to UNH (Club) in 11 innings. The game was an YSCC championship tournament semi-final match. Regulation ended with a 1-1 tie and then both teams went on to score a pair of runs in the 8th inning. A few inning a scoreless softball followed until UNH finally knocked a run in in the 11th inning. The Lynx finish up the season with a final record of 6-5. U-Maine Augusta downed NHTI in regular season women's soccer action 5-3. Pachy Rodriguez (Concord), Michaele Harrison (Contoocook) and Danielle Ferland (Charlestown) all added a goal each. Coach Kathy O'Connor's softball team has captured the number three seed and will square off against the number two ranked UNH (Club). That game will be played at noon with the winner then moving on to play the winner of the Southern Maine CC and Central Maine CC game for the YSCC championship. The championship match will be played at 2:30pm at the Wainwright Field Complex in South Portland, ME. TOP10/02/08 - Shorey Leads the Effort Despite the torrential rain Luke Merrill (Pittsburg), Steve Shorey (Franklin) and Mitch Philibert (Hillsboro) combined to throw a six hitter for the Lynx. Andrea Drewniak (Manchester) led the Lynx with three goals and two assists. Also playing well was Ali Bryan (Brentwood) who scored two goals. The Lynx are currently 4-4-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. They with host Manchester (CT) Community College on Saturday. Coach Eric Duquette's baseball team rolled over the Hesser Blue Devils 8-5. Mitch Philibert (Hillsboro) was on the mound and threw five innings allowing only two earned runs while picking up the win. Offensively Stephen Bartlett (Gilmanton) had three hits and both Matt Morrill (Moultonborough) and Kurt Casey (Moultonborough) picked up two hits each. NHTI (8-3) will host UNH (Club) on Friday. NHTI downed Colby-Sawyer College in softball action 7-4. Kirsten Foote (Concord) pitched a complete game to grab the win. Jen Burnham (Concord) went 2-4 with a double and scored two runs to lead the offensive attack. Erika Reimers (Barrington) also went 2-4 knocking in an RBI and scoring two runs and Sam Boisvert (Pembroke) also went 2-4 with a double and knocked in three runs. The Lynx finish up the regular season with an overall record of 5-5 and 5-3 in conference play. Coach Shelley Winter's women's volleyball swept Hesser College 3-0. Crystal Wynott (Hillsboro) led the Lynx with 15 aces and 12 kills. Newcomer Moriah Mahala (Epping) also played an all around strong game. NHTI is now 3-5 overall but more importantly 3-2 in conference play. They will travel to Holyoke Community College this weekend for a multi team tournament. Thorpe is a graduate and former basketball player at Colby-Sawyer College along with NHTI. James assisted the Granite State Raiders AAU team during summers from 2002-2005. Coach Thorpe served as the head coach of the Pembroke Academy Spartans junior varsity team in 2006, where he also worked in the special education department. After moving to South Carolina to teach 7th grade Language Arts, James enjoyed success within his own Low-Country Bulldogs AAU team. Now back in the Capitol region, he looks forward to teaching and learning the game within the NHTI system. Mark Yeaton is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University. Coach Yeaton enjoyed a marvelous college career after a fine high school stint at Bishop Brady HS where he led his team to the Class I championship in 1997. After one year at UNH, Mark transferred to NHTI before earning a full scholarship to SNHU where he scored over 1000 points and was named the SNHU Athlete of the Year in 2004. At SNHU, the Penmen twice made the NCAA DII tourney with Mark serving as team captain. Mark currently works in sales and has been most recently coaching at Pembroke Academy under head coach Matt Alosa. Both coaches add a lot of experience and expertise to the Lynx staff and are eager to begin the season. TOP09/21/08 - Lynx Dominate in a Seven Team Meet Co-ed golf: NHTI first overall with a score of 331 CONCORD, NH - NHTI co-ed golf team picked up there second win in two weeks with a score of 331 while hosting a meet at Beaver Meadow Country Club. Matt Levins (Concord) led the way for the Lynx scoring a 79. Also scoring for NHTI was Brandon Currier (Newport) 86, Craig Harvey (Windham) 84, Greg Frechette (Pelham) 82, and Dylan Stevens (Rochester) 86. The NHTI women's softball team dropped a game to UNH (Club) 8-0 and were also swept by Southern Maine Community College 11-2 and 10-0 in a double header. Jackie Reen (Contoocook) picked up four hits in the three games. Also Erika Reimers (Barrington) grabbed three hits, Kaylyn Rifkin (Litchfield) singled twice and Sam Boisvert (Pembroke) also picked up a hit. Coach Derek Johnson's men's soccer team downed conference rival Hesser College 9-0. Antonia Bifsha (Milford) added two goals and two assists to lead the Lynx attack. Also Asa Johnson (Milton) added netted two goals. Shawn Prescott (Laconia), Matt Glatz (Alexandria) and Amsal Alic (Concord) each added a goal and an assist. Mitch Philibert (Hillsboro) grabbed the win on the mound throwing five innings allowing only four hits striking out three and allowing zero earned runs. TOP09/16/08 - Busy Days for Lynx Athletics Women's softball: CONCORD, NH - The NHTI, Concord Community College women's softball team downed conference rival Colby-Sawyer College 3-0 in five innings. Jackie Reen (Hopkinton) pitched a great game in the circle grabbing two strikeouts, walking one, and picking up two hits. Offensively Erika Riemers (Dover) went 3-3 picking up one RBI and scoring one run, Reen went 3-4 with two runs and an RBI and Jen Burnham (Concord) went 2-2 scoring two runs. Also in earlier softball action NHTI fell in both games of a double header versus St. Anslem College 5-4 and 11-3. The Lynx are now 4-0 on the season and 4-2 overall. NHTI will travel to UNH (Club) on Friday. The NHTI women's volleyball team defeated Hesser College 3-0 and fell to Northern Essex 0-3. TOP09/14/08 - Lynx Open Golf Season Leading the Lynx was Matt Levins (Concord) 75, Brandon Currier (Newport) 81, Craig Harvey (Windham) 87, and Greg Frechette (Pelham) 93. She was also a stellar three sport all-state athlete at Franklin High School. Winters has been coaching women's basketball at NHTI going on eight years and brings a lot of experience to the new look Lynx volleyball team. The Lynx are trying to match last year's stellar season where they finished with an impressive 21-4 record and won the YSCC championship.
