Services Offered
We provide a full range of primary care, referral, and educational services tailored to the individual and unique needs of college students. We offer initial diagnosis and treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries and appropriate follow-up care. Students are encouraged to call for an appointment in advance. This will decrease waiting time and allow adequate time with the health care provider.
After Hours Emergency Care
After hours emergency care is provided by Concord Hospital. For on-campus emergencies call 9-911.
Immunization Services
We provide immunization services including: measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), influenza, meningitis vaccine, hepatitis B, and tetanus. We also provide tuberculosis (Mantoux) testing.
Health Information Requirements
Students enrolled in the allied health programs are required to provide specific health and immunization information to participate in internships held at various clinical sites. Clearance is also required before a student can be assigned a room in the residence halls, participate in intramural sports or in intercollegiate athletics. Health Services assists in collecting medical information and providing necessary documentation.
Costs and Eligibility
All students enrolled at NHTI are eligible to use Health Services. All Allied Health, Athletes and Residence Life students are required to submit health forms prior to beginning classes. A portion of the student activity fee is allocated to Health Services to cover basic health care services. It does not cover some things such as prescription medication, immunizations, physicals, and labwork. You may contact the Health Services Office for questions regarding services or specific costs.
Confidentiality
Medical records are strictly confidential. Information will not be released without written authorization from you, except by a court order. We can provide you with authorization forms.
