With ongoing technological advances, demographic patterns that point to an aging population, and changing approaches to health care, the future outlook for Diagnostic Medical Imaging is growth and opportunity.

It’s an exciting time to work in a cutting-edge field that allows its practitioners to make a valuable contribution to society, while enjoying a career that provides a living wage and abundant opportunities for professional advancement.

In the current economic climate, medical facilities require cross-training of employees to curb costs. NHTI’s Diagnostic Medical Imaging Department is responding by offering several continuing education seminars for Medical Imagers who want to hone their professional and career skills to maximize their appeal in the marketplace. Many Imagers have expressed a need for obtaining advanced certifications in areas such as Mammography, Computed Tomography, Cross Sectional Anatomy, Education, Quality Management and MRI. Unfortunately, the primary educational training facilities for these modalities are not located in New Hampshire, which makes them cost and time prohibitive due to the distance and out-of-state travel required.

NHTI, Concord Community College, is bringing these opportunities closer to home. We’ve brought together an expert panel of instructors to educate the Medical Imagers of New Hampshire locally.

A special series on Mammography is being highlighted. As the demand for Mammography grows, there is a need for quality training of skilled Mammographers in the digital age of “15-minute” exams. Quality programs are needed to train these Technologists with the right combination of classroom and clinical experience to correspond with the requirements of the FDA and other regulating agencies.

Join us in our commitment to providing quality and affordable higher education to Imagers throughout the state and beyond.
