Health and Wellness for the Dental Health Care Professional: Mind Your BodyIt is well documented that stress affects our physiological state and in turn affects our health. The negative impact upon dental professionals can take the form of serious health issues and burnout. Participants will learn practical approaches to achieving physical and mental fitness. The course will look at stress physiology including a review of basic chairside ergonomics, stress reduction techniques and a mindful approach to managing stress. Hands-on treatments will be explored such as cranial sacral therapy, breath and energy work as well some relaxation and stretching techniques to ease movement and reduce anxiety.
