The Preliminary Oral Inspection for the Dental Assistant

This course will prepare dental assistants to perform a preliminary oral inspection on patients and meet the requirements set forth by the NH Board of Dental Examiners. Topics include taking medical and dental histories, obtaining and reading vital signs, basic oral anatomy and terminology, and charting of existing restorations and teeth.

Prerequisites: CDA or 2000 hours of chairside experience or graduate, and must bring blood pressure cuff.
