A record-setting athlete during the 1970's at Plymouth State University, Professor Moffett went on to teach and coach for several years in both public and parochial high schools, and later on at Plymouth State University and at a Marine Corps summer school for officer candidates. A Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Reserves, he commanded a ground unit during the Persian Gulf Conflict after being activated for Operation Desert Storm. He also served on the Central Command staff after the September 11 attacks, and returned to active duty for a special assignment in Afghanistan in 2010.

Professor Moffett is an experienced sports writer, having served as a reporter and columnist for the Coos County Democrat and the N.H. Times, before publishing his own Sports Monthly in 1986 - The N.H. Score. From 1986-93 he served as Sports Information Director for Plymouth State University and was the first publicist for the Freedom Football Conference. He presently writes a weekly sports column for the Weirs Times.

From 1993-94 Professor Moffett served as an assistant producer for sports programming for the Yankee Cable Network before coming to NHTI in 1994 as Public Information Officer and later Assistant to the President.

Professor Moffett was instrumental in the development of NHTI's Sports Management Program, and has taught in the program since it began in 1997. He also served as the head coach of the NHTI Lynx men's basketball program for three years, and led the team to a berth in the National Small College Athletic Association national championship tournament in Kansas in 1998.

Professor Moffett earned a Masters Degree in Education from Plymouth State University and later pursued post-graduate doctoral studies at the University of San Diego.

Paul Hogan has a rich and varied background in the world of New Hampshire sports.

1979 graduate of Plymouth State University, Hogan earned a master's degree in education from that institution in 1988. He has taught and coached in New Hampshire for twenty years, including stints at schools in Woodsville, Litchfield, Laconia, and Rochester. His 1990 Laconia Sachem baseball team won the N.H. Class I state championship.

Professor Hogan came to NHTI from Rochester, N.H., where he served as Director of Athletics at Spaulding High School. Prior to that, he spent eight years as head men's basketball coach at Plymouth State University, where he fashioned a 136-80 record and was twice named Little East Conference “Coach-of-the-Year.”

During the twelve years at NHTI, the athletic program and Sports Management programs have grown in size and stature with twelve different intercollegiate athletic programs being offered. Hogan's Lynx won the USCAA D-2 Men's National Championship in 2005.

Professor Hogan is the current President of the YSCC (Yankee Small College Conference) and serves on several committees for the USCAA (United States College Athletic Association) including marketing and championships.

Professor Hogan's successful summer basketball camp at NHTI in Concord is an example of how he has applied business and management principles to a commercial athletic endeavor - one that requires accounting, facilities maintenance, marketing, and human resource management.

Professor Hogan is also NHTI's Director of Athletics and men's basketball coach.
